Coronavirus Update

Dear Patients and Families:

We hope this letter finds you well.  It has been great to see so many of our patients and we look forward to seeing those of you that have not yet come back to the office.  We have been working very hard to continue to offer the positive and safe Orthodontic experience that you have come to expect from McInnes Palmer Orthodontics. During these difficult times due to Covid-19, we have made some changes to our protocols. We thank you for your patience as we implement our "new way of life."

We continue to ask that you TEXT when you arrive in the parking lot to let us know you are here. The number to text is: 410-382-2773. We will let you know if you can come in right away, or if you need to wait for a moment, to ensure there are not more people in the office than necessary.  Please have ONLY the patient come up for their appointment and bring the form attached here, as well as this Informed Consent form, and a mask will need to be worn at this time to enter the building. Certainly, if you have questions or are concerned about your child coming up alone, you may accompany them to the office. The patient must have the forms with them in order for us to treat. In addition, there is no brushing station, so please have the patient brush their teeth at home prior to their appointment and avoid snacking on the way to the office.

Upon arrival to the office, the patient's temperature will be taken and any patient with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher will be sent home. The two forms will be reviewed and then the patient will go to the clinic or briefly remain in the waiting area.  Once seated in the clinic, they will be asked to rinse with Colgate Peroxyl MouthRinse.  When their treatment is complete, the patient will be dismissed with a walk out slip and we ask that you call to schedule your next appointment to avoid gatherings at the reception desk.

Due to the new prescreening protocol when the patient arrives, the need to disinfect the clinical chair and change personal protective equipment, any patient that is over 5 minutes late will need to be rescheduled. Also, if a patient misses an appointment there could be a $45.00 charge.  We understand this is a strict policy but we hope you understand the importance of  keeping your appointment being on time.  This will ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Thank you to all of our wonderful patients! You are the ones that keep us going and help to make these changes so successful!

Sincerely,
Meghan Palmer
